Nebbiolo is a sensitive, late-ripening grape variety that requires specific environmental characteristics, which it finds in ideal conditions in Piedmont's Roero region. Spur-pruned cordon training with Guyot pruning, hand harvesting, and long maceration make Nebbiolo d'Alba D.O.C. La Pensiva a full-bodied wine with particular olfactory notes reminiscent of Piedmontese autumn scents.
