Description
The Tuscan wine par excellence, Chianti Classico bears the name of the land from which it originates, an area of 70,000 hectares between Siena and Florence. Enveloping and fascinating, Chianti Classico Riserva Piccarda Donati reveals a well-balanced and full flavour. Label: "Ancient Heritage" by Tetsuji Endo. Through the symbol of the family tree, the painter intends to express the renewal of life through the continuous evolution of living species. Technique: Indian ink, pencil and watercolour on aged paper.
- Production area: Chianti Classico, Tuscany
- Grapes: 90% Sangiovese, 10% Merlot. Alcohol: 13.5% vol
- Vinification and ageing: after harvesting, the grapes are destemmed and softly pressed. Fermentation in stainless steel tanks, with maceration on the skins for 10 days at controlled temperature. Malolactic fermentation in concrete tanks. Ageing for 12 months in Slavonian oak barrels. At least three months of bottle ageing
- Colour: brilliant ruby with garnet reflections. Bouquet: enveloping aroma with notes of wild berries. Taste: full and balanced with a soft finish of fruity notes
